Gohar demands inquiry commission on Nov 26 incident
PTI chairman says that inquiry commission should be formed and party will not support workers if proven guilty
ISLAMABAD: PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has called for an inquiry commission to investigate the November 26 incident, stressing that if any wrongdoing is proven against PTI workers, they will not be supported.
He observed this during a meeting with a delegation of the Human Rights Commission, along with other party leaders here. Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Omar Ayub briefed the delegation on the PTI protest incidents on November 24, 25 and 26.
Gohar said that an inquiry commission should be formed and that if something is proven against the (party) workers, they will not support them.
Speaking on the occasion, Omar Ayub said that shots were fired directly at the workers and leaders and transparent investigations should be conducted into these incidents to find out the facts. NA ex-speaker Asad Qaiser said that FIRs of May 9 are being filed against some people and that poor people have been picked up who have no connection with any party.
The Human Rights Commission delegation comprised Munizae Jahangir, Nasir Zaidi, Sadia Ghafari, Khushal Khan and Muhammad Asif.
