Hidden dangers

The ease of plastic use comes with a risk to our health and an environmental burden that grows heavier each day. Heating food or beverages in plastic containers allows harmful chemicals to seep into our meals, compromising our health. A nationwide campaign is badly needed to educate the public about the dangers of using plastic bags and disposables for hot food.
Moreover, policies should be enacted to encourage the use of safer, eco-friendly alternatives such as paper cups or reusable containers. Collaborations with media outlets, schools, and organisations can play a critical role in raising awareness and promoting sustainable practices.
