Mural painting activity on walls of Pakistan’s first digital museum commended

Event brings together 50 talented artists from across Pakistan, including students from RWU, GCU Lahore and NCA

ISLAMABAD: MilKar Pakistan and Alif Laam Meem successfully organized a vibrant Mural Painting Activity on the walls of the first-ever Digital Museum of Radio Pakistan, Islamabad.

The event brought together 50 talented artists from across Pakistan, including students from Rawalpindi Women University (RWU), Government College University (GCU) Lahore, and National College of Arts (NCA).

Syed Kashf Ahmed, Project Director of MilKar Pakistan, highlighted the initiative’s importance, stating, “This activity is a tribute to Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage and the historical importance of Radio Pakistan. Mural painting provides a powerful platform for youth to express themselves, connect with their communities, and create impactful public art.”

Hiba Ali Gohar, Founder of Alif Laam Meem, described the activity as an inspiring project. She said, “Through this collaboration, we’ve empowered youth to paint the colours of Pakistan and raise the slogan of peace and unity. We firmly believe that ’Hukmarani Sirf Mohabbat Ki Hai.”

Saeed Ahmad Shaikh, Director General of Radio Pakistan, expressed gratitude to the organizing partners, adding, “We are deeply thankful to Alif Laam Meem and MilKar Pakistan for transforming the walls of Pakistan’s first Digital Museum into a stunning masterpiece. These walls now serve as a canvas celebrating creativity and cultural heritage.”

Students participating in the event shared their enthusiasm. Hassnain Hashmi, an NCA student, stated, “This platform gave us the opportunity to experiment with colours, textures, and styles while showcasing our individuality and creativity in portraying Pakistan’s culture.”

Ms. Sahrish, a representative of RWU, added, “This activity is truly inspiring, and we are proud of organizations like MilKar Pakistan and Alif Laam Meem. Their motto, ’Jo tanha nahi, woh MilKar mumkin hai,’ reflects the spirit of collaboration and positivity they bring to society.”

This collaboration between MilKar Pakistan and Alif Laam Meem demonstrates the transformative power of art in preserving cultural heritage, fostering youth engagement, and inspiring unity and creativity across Pakistan.
