BAHAWALPUR: Two women were killed by their husbands in two separate incidents in Bahawalpur district on Sunday.
One of the incidents took place in PS Hasil Pur City in Widow Colony, where husband stabbed his 31-year-old wife to death.
According to the district police, accused Nadeem Akhtar murdered his 31-year-old wife Saima by stabbing her in the neck and check after a fight in the “Bewa Colony” area in the limits of Hasilpur Police Station and fled the scene, however he was later arrested.
In another gruesome incident, in Faizabad Colony near Baghuchiwala Bridge, accused Muhammad Bilal allegedly stabbed his 40-year-old wife Ishrat Jabeen to death in connivance with his second wife in the vicinity of Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Police Station.
The police reached the spot and took possession of the body. It also conducted raids to apprehend the accused and registered an FIR against him.
