The Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) has finalised a Ramazan Plan in order to supply water to the consumers three times a day.
The plan was discussed at a Ramazan Meeting chaired by Wasa Managing Director Raja Shaukat Mahmood which was attended by the Water Section officials.
While announcing the package, Raja Shaukat directed the employees of the water section to perform their official duties without being absent during the month of Ramazan. Though it has remained the effort of Wasa to supply water to its consumers without any suspension and problem throughout the year, the agency has adopted special strategy in the holy month of Ramazan enabling the citizens of Rawalpindi city and its adjacent areas to avail the facility without any difficulty.
The managing director said if Iesco, which has assured not to resort to power loadshedding during 'iftar', 'sehri' and 'taraveeh' hours, Wasa would also supply water without any interruption during month of Ramazan.
He said the citizens living in low-lying areas and facing water shortage problem would avail the facilities of water bowsers on complaints. The citizens of the low-lying areas could contact the Wasa helpline '1334' to get the facility of water bowsers.
