GIK Institute to launch new scholarship
PESHAWAR: Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology has decided to launch a scheme of international scholarship for the talented students of neighbouring countries and Palestine.
The GIK Institute Board of Governors (BoG) in a meeting on Thursday approved the launching of a new initiative from the academic year 2025 to grant scholarships to deserving students from neighbouring countries.
“This initiative is aimed at supporting the talented students who may not have the financial means to pursue higher studies in quality educational institutions like GIKI in Pakistan,” said a communique issued here.
The scholarship scheme on its implementation envisages covering a significant portion of the tuition fees and other related expenses, ensuring that these students can focus on their studies without financial burden while acquiring quality knowledge.
The move is part of GIKI’s commitment to fostering international collaboration and providing educational opportunities to students from diverse backgrounds and belonging to neighbouring countries like Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Palestine in the field engineering sciences, management, and technology.
