Rawalpindi:Chairman Volunteer Management and vice president of the Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan (AKP) Dr. Mushtaq Mangat has said that so far 60,000 youth have been registered as volunteers.
Addressing a youth convention in connection with International Volunteers Day here, Mushtaq Mangat said that the registered volunteers have been support AKP in its activities for service of humanity.
He said that after registration of youth, they have been provided opportunities for skill development by arranging various courses so that they could also earn respectable livelihood. Under the 'Green Pakistan' mission, he said that AKP so far had planted 1.2 million sapling while setting a target to plant 10 million plants.
The AKP secretary general Syed Ehsan Jaffery said that the foundation so far has signed MoUs with 100 educational institutions including colleges and universities to secure services female and male volunteers.
