ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Alzaabi has announced to postpone the reception for commemoration of 53rd National Day of his country, which is being observed next week.
According to the UAE mission, the reception was slated for today (Friday) in Serena Hotel Islamabad but it has been rescheduled due to the developments in the area. The reception will be held on Tuesday December 17 and according to timings given earlier.
Interestingly, the UAE is the second diplomatic mission here that has rescheduled their National Day reception in the current week due to PTI agitation. The Oman ambassador called off his country’s National Day reception that was scheduled for Tuesday last.
