Efforts being made to improve hospitals in Punjab: minister
LAHORE : Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique has said every possible effort is being made to improve conditions of government hospitals in Punjab.
The minister said this in a meeting held in the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department.
Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique reviewed the financial affairs of medical universities in Punjab during the meeting.
Transparency is being ensured in the financial affairs of medical institutions. Patients coming to government hospitals should not face any problem. All MSs should create facilities for patients in government hospitals, the minister said.
Special Secretary Development Syed Wajid Ali Shah, Additional Secretary Medical Education Sidra Saleem and Deputy Secretary Budget Hammad Al-Rab attended the meeting.
The meeting was also attended by Registrar Fatima Jinnah Medical University Professor Nadeem, MS Ganga Ram Hospital Lahore Dr Arif Iftikhar and other officers.
