PESHAWAR: Bushra Bibi, the spouse of former prime minister Imran Khan, held a meeting with senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, including former speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser, and urged them to put aside their differences as it was damaging the party, source said on Tuesday.
The sources told the Geo News that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was also present at the meeting that took place at the Chief Minister’s House.
The meeting focused on addressing internal party differences and strategies for the upcoming protest.
Sources said that Bushra Bibi expressed concern over the impact of disagreements within the party. “Internal differences are hurting the party,” she reportedly stated during the discussion.
Bushra Bibi urged unity among party leaders to keep workers motivated. She urged the party leaders to stay united so the workers did not lose hope, adding that the primary goal was to secure the release of PTI’s founder.
She instructed Asad Qaiser to lead the convoy from Swabi alongside Ali Amin Gandapur. She said that Ali Amin Gandapur, Asad Qaiser, and Atif Khan would lead the convoys to ensure coordination and teamwork.
It may be mentioned that the PTI is making preparations to march towards Islamabad and stage a protest on the call of former prime minister Imran Khan, who is imprisoned at the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.
