Terror financing suspect remanded

PESHAWAR: A special anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday handed over a suspect, Qadir Khan, to the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on a three-day physical remand.
The suspect was accused of financing banned terror organizations.The suspect was produced before ATC Judge Muhammad Iqbal Khan. During the hearing, the investigating officer informed the court that Qadir Khan was accused of providing financial support to commanders of a banned terror outfit.
The officer said that the suspect had allegedly looted significant quantities of gold and local and foreign currency from the Khyber district and its surrounding areas, which were then funneled to terrorists across the border.
