KHAR: The reorganisation of the Awami National Party (ANP), Bajaur chapter, was completed on Sunday with Gul Afzal Khan elected as President and Shah Naseer Khan as General Secretary.
The meeting of the ANP’s district council in Bajaur was held under the chairmanship of provincial election commission member Maulana Khanzeb.
The provincial general secretary of ANP Hussain Shah Yousafzai also attended the meeting. During the session, the district cabinet was elected unanimously.
The newly-elected cabinet members include Gul Afzal Khan as president, Muhammad Ishaq senior vice-president, Malik Abdul Subhan and Malik Hikmatullah Khan, Khan Bahadur, Haji Abdul Qayyum, Fatehur Rahman, Hazir Afghan and Muhammad Tariq vice-presidents.
Similarly, Shah Naseer Khan was elected as general secretary, Syed Siddique Akbar additional general secretary, Dr Abdul Rahman deputy general secretary, Sher Akbar senior joint secretary and Bawar Jan, Muhammad Syed, Amjad Ali and Dr Parvez as joint secretaries, Ubaid Khan information secretary, Fazal Rabi finance secretary, Najeebullah Jan youth affairs secretary, Alamzeb Yousafzai secretary culture and Sakhi Bahadur as secretary for social media.
On this occasion, Hussain Shah Yousafzai said that the ANP was a movement that had always rendered matchless sacrifices for its people whenever needed.
