Lucky Cement posts 2pc increase in quarter earnings

KARACHI: Lucky Cement Limited on Monday reported a 2.0 per cent increase in its quarterly earnings.In a statement to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company reported a net profit of Rs19.8 billion for the quarter that ended September 30, slightly up from Rs19.357 billion during the same quarter last year.
The company skipped any payout for this period. Earnings per share came in at Rs61.18, compared with earnings per share of Rs57.8 a year ago.
The company said its gross revenue for the quarter rose to Rs136.852 billion, compared with Rs124.932 billion a year earlier. The cost of sales increased to Rs79.895 billion from Rs72.618 billion, which affected the profit margins.
