Officials directed to return case property vehicles
PESHAWAR: The provincial government has ordered the return of official and case property vehicles from all the officials and other people of the Excise Department who are not entitled, it was learnt.
The government took notice after reports that a number of officials of the Excise Department including those retired from service were illegally using official vehicles as well as cars impounded by the department in different cases.
Some of the officials have also given cars to their families and friends who have been using them for the last many years. Hundreds of such cars are being used by people who are not entitled. It was also learnt that the government had directed the department to prepare lists of all such vehicles and the people using it.
