PPP leader passes away

MARDAN: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader Haji Jalat Khan died after a protracted illness here on Saturday.
He was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard. Former federal minister Nawabzada Khwaja Mohammad Khan Hoti, elected representatives, political figures, lawyers, journalists and people belonging to all walks of life attended his funeral prayers. Haji Jalat Khan had won election for a provincial assembly seat on the PPP ticket in 1977 and had remained administrator of TMA. Jalat Khan was the elder brother of PPP senior leader and former provincial president Haji Khanzada Khan, PPP leader Murad Khan and Haji Afsar Khan.
