35 CEOs of DEAs get appointment orders

LAHORE:Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikander Hayat Tuesday distributed appointment orders among the newly appointed 35 Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of District Education Authorities (DEAs) and other officials.

Addressing the ceremony, the minister directed the CEOs and District Education Officers (DEOs) to evolve a comprehensive and targeted enrollment campaign for the out of school children besides the effective monitoring system and to restore extracurricular activities in schools. He also announced rewards for those who would exhibit extraordinary performance. He also said a zero tolerance regime had been activated on the complaint of harassment by female teachers. The minister also directed the DCO of the district concerned to arrange proper residence for the newly selected female DEOs. He claimed that 100 percent merit had been ensured in the interview as well as appointment of all newly elected CEOs, DEOS and other officials. The appointment orders were also distributed among 12 DEOs and 54 DDEOs.
