ISLAMABAD: The Establishment Division has directed all ministries and divisions to outsource general and non-core services like cleaning, plumbing and gardening etc, under the rightsizing policy.
The instruction was given in an office memorandum by the Establishment Division. In the OM, reference has been made to the decision of the federal cabinet on August 27, 2024. In the memorandum, it is clarified that the Establishment Division will not recommend the creation of any post for the above sectors by any ministry or division in future. It also directed that the vacant posts of the above cadre should be considered as dying posts and no recruitment should be made on them. It said that recommendations should not be sent to the Establishment Division for the creation of posts of Naib Qasid, servant, washer man, gardener, record sorter, watchman, security guard, cleaner, sanitary worker, sweeper, helper, cook, loader, attendant, carpenter, electrician, elevator operator etc in future.
