Teacher appeals for probe into theft at house
PESHAWAR: A teacher whose house was burglarized recently in Mohallah Kashmiri, within the Kotwali Police Station, has appealed to the inspector general of police to order the relevant police to investigate the case.
Yahya Mohammad, an aggrieved resident of Mohallah Kashmiri in Ganj locality, told reporters he, his wife and a young daughter were associated with the teaching profession. He said that a theft was committed at his house when he and other family members were away, depriving his family of cash and gold ornaments.
Yahya Mohammad said he approached the Kotwali Police Station but the staff refused to register a first information report and later lodged only a daily diary or Roznamcha in the case. The distressed teacher said he visited the police station concerned twice to know about any progress in the investigation but was told by the staff there was none.
The aggrieved teacher appealed to the Inspector General of Police Akhtar Hayat Khan to direct the police station concerned to investigate the case so that his hard-earned belongings could be recovered.
