Qira’at, Na’at contest at FJMU
LAHORE:Shanawar Qira’at and Naat Society of Fatima Jinnah Medical University, Lahore, organized ‘All Pakistan Women Inter-University Qira’at and Na’at Competition 2024.’
The event was organised under the supervision of Staff President of Shanawar Society Prof Naghmana Lateef. The event was graced by the distinguished presence of Prof Dr Aamer Zaman Khan, FJMU former VC as the Chief Guest, and Dr Hafeez-ur-Rehman, President of Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan, attended as Guest of Honour.
In the welcome address, Vice Chancellor Prof Khalid Masood Gondal welcomed the distinguished guests. Prof Aamer Zaman Khan extended his remarks that extracurricular activities are very important for the mental and physical health of students.
Dr Hafeez-ur-Rehman said that all of us should contribute to the welfare of humanity together. Our aim is to spread the message of the Quran and Sunnah. Shields of appreciation were presented to the guests.
A panel of judges included Prof Dr Noorul Ain Waheed (Head of the Biochemistry Department), Prof Dr Munazza Iqbal (former HOD of Pathology, former Dean Basic Sciences, and Undergraduate Studies), and Miss Syeda Tahira Yousaf (HOD at Government Islamia College, Lahore).
At the end of the ceremony, VC Prof Dr Khalid Masood Gondal presented honorary shields to Prof Aamir Zaman Khan, Dr Hafeez-ur-Rehman, judges and organisers of the event. Prizes were also distributed among the executive teams of the Society.
