Adviser inquires after injured PTM activists
PESHAWAR: Advisor to Chief Minister on Health, Ihtisham Ali, on Friday visited the Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC) to inquire after the injured members of the Pashtun Qaumi Jirga.
Hospital Director, Dr. Shehzad Akbar, and Administration Director, Dr. Sher Zaman, accompanied him on a tour of the hospital’s various departments.
Ihtisham Ali met with the injured Jirga members admitted to different wards of the hospital, including those in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). He said all possible facilities were being provided to the patients free of charge.
The advisor stated that HMC and Jamrud Hospital were on high alert to provide medical treatment to participants of the Pashtun Qaumi Jirga. He said emergency medicines and medical staff were available 24/7 to ensure prompt care to them.
Ihtisham Ali said preventative measures had been taken to safeguard against dengue fever, including spraying in and around the Jirga grounds. The district health officer in Khyber has been instructed to provide initial medical aid to Jirga participants, he added.
