The withdrawal of the 15-year age relaxation by the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) has caused deep frustration and unrest among the young people. Limiting the age of applicants to 30 years has disappointed many hopeful candidates. Developed countries around the world provide more job opportunities for young people in order to solve economic and social issues. However, things are the other way around in Pakistan. Opportunities for young people are scarce and there is a lot of poverty, leading to numerous socioeconomic problems.
Sindh paints a very bleak picture right now in terms of employment. Corruption and political interference appear to have permeated throughout the hiring process. Employment is the constitutional right of all, by creating an age limit, the provincial government is depriving many youths of their right. Therefore, the government is requested to look into the matter and save the hopes of thousands of young people.
