Cop injured in Swat attack

MINGORA: One cop was injured when unidentified armed men attacked the Chupriyal Vennai checkpost in the Matta tehsil in Swat, sources said. The attackers targeted the cops when they were manning the checkpost.

One constable was injured in the attack. He was rushed to the Matta Tehsil Headquarters Hospital. His name could not be confirmed immediately. The attackers managed to escape after staging the attack.The police launched a search operation after the attack to arrest the perpetrators. However, no arrests could be made.
