PESHAWAR: A second terrorist attack on police post on the outskirts of the provincial capital was repulsed late Wednesday night.
Reports said terrorists attacked the police post in the Nasir Bagh area that was repulsed by the cops in the building. There were reports of an attack on a police post in Sakhi Pul post in adjacent Khyber district.
A day earlier terrorists opened fire on the police post in Juma Khan Khwarh, in the limits of Nasir Bagh Police Station. Unconfirmed reports said rockets were fired ad well at the post.
The officials said cops in the post exchanged fire with the attackers for around 10 minutes but the assailants escaped later.
No casualty was reported.
Police posts and police stations in the limits of the Warsak division have come under numerous attacks in the last few months.
Rockets and hand grenades were also used in these attacks on the police buildings and vehicles.
Most of the attacks on police in the last couple of years in Peshawar were reported in Warsak and Saddar divisions.
