Arshad Nadeem Stadium to be developed in Mian Channu
LAHORE: Director General of Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal on Tuesday revealed plans to develop the Arshad Nadeem Stadium in the athlete’s hometown of Mian Channu. DG Sports Punjab disclosed this during his meeting with the Paris Olympics gold medal winner.
The meeting celebrated Nadeem’s historic achievement and discussed future plans to nurture athletic talent in the province. DG hailed Arshad as “the true hero and role model of Pakistan.” The Olympic champion was accompanied by his coach, Salman Iqbal Butt, highlighting the teamwork behind this monumental success. “Arshad Nadeem has achieved great distinction for the country among the international sports community,” Iqbal stated, emphasising the pride felt across the nation. “The entire country is elated by his remarkable feat.” The meeting also shed light on upcoming initiatives by Sports Board Punjab to bolster sports development in the region.
