More time to learn

It is often said that one semester contains six months but when students come to university, they get to know that each semester contains around four months and a few days. In some private sector universities, the duration of a semester can be even less than four months. And this is without taking mid-term breaks and final exam breaks into account. The short duration of the semester results in classes for a particular course being held only twice every week and teachers often skip certain topics due to the lack of time. Students are also unable to cover the entire course which undermines their exam performance. I urge the HEC to please enhance the duration of a semester and ensure that both teachers and students can actually cover their courses properly.
