Three injured in two groups firing; one arrested
LAHORE:Three people sustained wounds in a clash between two groups in the Manawan area near Jughian Pind on Monday.
Men of the both groups exchanged harsh words at the brick kiln of Malik Nadeem and later on they traded fire. As a result, two sons of Asghar and a caretaker of a local shrine sustained bullet wounds.
One victim got injury at his neck and his condition was stated to be critical. Rescue teams shifted the injured to hospital. Police have arrested a suspect named Husnain.
Labourer electrocuted
A labourer was electrocuted at a construction site in LDA Avenue, Raiwind Road, Lahore on Monday. Sajjad, was working at an under-construction house when accidentally he touched a live electric wire and died instantly.
Woman hit to death
A woman died and a man injured in an accident on Bund Road near Babu Sabu Toll Plaza. According to Rescue 1122 officials, the accident involved a collision between a car and a motorbike. Emergency services arrived at the scene promptly, but unfortunately, 30-year-old Sadaf Batool lost her life.
The injured was transferred to hospital. Body was handed over to police for further investigation. Efforts were under way to locate the car driver.
