Trial of Imran, Bushra in Toshakhana 2 case starts
Court directed investigating officer to submit investigation report at next hearing
ISLAMABAD. The trial of Toshakhana 2 against PTI founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi has started under the 1A rules.
Special Court Central Judge Shahrukh Arjumand conducted the first hearing in Adiala Jail. The hearing of the case was adjourned till September 23. The court directed the investigating officer to submit the investigation report at the next hearing.
After the NAB amendments, this is the first case that has been transferred to the FIA. The case must be looked at under the FIA rules, the FIA prosecutor said. During the hearing, FIA Special Prosecutor Zulfiqar Naqvi and NAB Prosecutor Umair Majeed appeared in the court. Salman Safdar appeared before the court on behalf of the accused. The hearing on the bail application filed by the accused was also adjourned till the next date.
