As the State Bank of Pakistan prepares to unveil new banknotes, I recommend improving the paper quality of the current notes instead of investing in redesigning. The fleeting crispness of the already existing notes and Pakistan's financial constraints justify this pragmatic approach.
There are numerous critical issues that require attention rather than expending national treasury resources on what is basically an art competition. The economic crisis our country is already facing is a pressing concern that demands serious action from our authorities.
