Polls in six village councils of Torghar on October 20
MANSEHRA: The local government election in six village councils of Torghar district will be held on October 20.
Election Commission of Pakistan in a public notice issued here on Saturday appointed Mohammad Amir, the assistant director of Local Governments Torghar, as the presiding officer for local bodies’ elections scheduled to be held in Judbah and Dor Mera tehsils.
The elections, according to schedule, would be held in Shahdag, Sachka and Phagban village councils of Judbah and Dor Mera, Shingal Dar and Mangri village councils of Dor Mera tehsil.
The aspirants could receive and submit nomination papers from September 16 to 19, except on public holidays.
The returning officers would publish the nominated candidates’ lists on September 20 and the scrutiny process would remain in progress until September 21 to 24.
