Woman arrested for forcing girl into prostitution

LAHORE: A woman who deceived a young girl and coerced her into prostitution was arrested here on Monday. According to the initial investigation, the woman lured the girl to her residence and forced her into prostitution. The girl raised an alarm, prompting local residents to call 15 and contact the Virtual Women Police Station. The police arrested the accused and registered a case against her.

Man shot dead over minor issue

A man was shot dead and two others were stabbed and wounded at separate locations in the provincial metropolis on Monday. A man was shot dead by three persons in Barki police area. The victim identified as Khizar Hayat had been previously involved in an altercation with the accused, Riaz Jatt and his associates, over a minor dispute related to children.

On the day of the incident, Khizar Hayat was en route to his maternal uncle Karam Elahi’s house in Pholarwan village, in the limits of Barki police, when he was ambushed by the accused. Yaseen and Waqar, along with an accomplice, intercepted him and opened fire. The attack resulted in Khizar sustaining fatal gunshot wounds. Following the shooting, the assailants fled the scene.

Police shifted body to the morgue. A murder case was filed against six individuals, including Riaz Jatt, Yaseen, and Waqar, based on the complaint lodged by Khizar’s brother, Mohammad Yaseen. According to the complainant, his brother Khizar Hayat was killed at the instigation of Riaz, ameen and Mudassar

In another incident, two persons Abdul Basit and Hamza were stabbed and wounded by one Hassan, Ahmad and their accomplices in South Cantt police area. The injured were admitted to hospital and a case against Hassan, Ahmed and others was registered.
