121 drug peddlers held

LAHORE : Punjab Police conducted 292 raids on the hideouts of drug dealers across the province, including Lahore during the last 24 hours.

The police arrested 121 drug peddlers and registered cases against 117 accused.

According to Punjab Police spokesman, some 2,647,568 raids were conducted on the hideouts of drug dealers across the province during last eight months. The police arrested some 22,661 accused involved in drug trafficking and booked 22,095 and recovered 14,305 kg hashish, 281 kg heroin, 413 kg opium, 103 kg ice, and a huge quantity of alcohol from the possession of the accused.
