LAHORE: Police Tuesday claimed to have arrested 11,689 accused on charges of violating Kite Flying Prohibition Act across the province this year.
Police booked 11,113 people for violating kite flying rules in different districts.
More than 638,000 kites and 34,450 spinning wheels were recovered from the accused.
Some 2,546 accused were arrested and cases were registered against 2,480 and 50,000 kites and 2,230 spinning wheels were recovered from the accused.
