Killer gets imprisonment, fine

TOBA TEK SINGH: Pirmahal Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Azfar on Monday awarded life imprisonment and Rs 200,000 fine to a man in a murder case.
According to prosecution, Mushtaq Ahmad had murdered Abid Ali over a water issue at Chak 679/20-GB on July 22, 2013.
SECURITY FOR RAMAZAN: DCO Amir Ijaz Akbar has said that foolproof security will be adopted outside and around mosques during the Ramazan in the district.
Addressing a Peace Committee meeting here on Monday, the DCO asked the officials concerned to ensure provision of supply of water, gas and electricity during Sehr, Iftar and Taraveeh timings. DOC Javed Akhtar Ch, AC Muhammad Shafiq, Mufti Abdul Moeed Asad, Maulana Saadullah Ludhianvi and others were also present.
