Data Sahib Urs traffic advisory issued

LAHORE:Lahore Traffic police has issued traffic advisory for Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh’s 3-day Urs celebrations. The Urs celebrations will continue from August 24 to 26, 2024.

Five DSPs, 111 traffic inspectors and 900 wardens have been deployed while fifteen forklifters and four breakdowns will also be in action to streamline the parking issues. Seven parking stands have also been allocated for the parking of vehicles of Chehlum mourners and Urs visitors. Visitors can park their vehicles and motorcycles at Greater Iqbal Park, Nasir Bagh, Mori Gate, Adda Crown, Pir Makki and Darbar Eye Hospital and Central Model High School. Data Darbar will be closed for all types of traffic from Katchehri Chowk, Bhatti Chowk and Pir Makki.

The traffic coming from Shahdara to Lower Mall will be diverted to the railway station from Azadi Chowk. Similarly, the traffic coming from Shahdara to Lower Mall will be diverted from Niazi Shaheed Chowk to Bund Road. Traffic coming from Chauburji Chowk to Lower Mall/Data Sahib will be diverted to alternative routes from MAO College while traffic coming from Inner Circle Road will go to its destination at Urdu Bazar, Katchehri Road through Mori Gate.

No traffic from Chowk Ratigan, Chowk Bilal Ganj, Chowk Beriwala and Mori Gate will be allowed to go to Data Darbar. No traffic will enter Lower Mall Road from Chowk Taxali, Mori Gate and Azadi Chowk. Citizens coming from Shahdara to Upper Mall will be able to go to Upper Mall from Press Club via Railway Station.

Citizens going to Ravi Road from Chauburji and PMG Chowk can go to Ring Road via Saggian Bridge. Lower Mall Road, Chowk District Katchehri to U-turn Pir Makki will be closed for all types of traffic.
