ILF accuses governor of paralysing KP govt
PESHAWAR: Insaf Lawyers Forum (ILF) leader Moazzam Butt on Tuesday accused Governor Faisal Karim Kundi of interfering in the KP government affairs which had paralysed the provincial government.
“The central government’s non-cooperation is at its peak. “It is evident from the fact that the chief secretary and inspector general of police have not been changed despite several requests from Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur,” he said while speaking at a press conference.Moazzam Butt of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-affiliated ILF was critical of the bureaucracy in KP and alleged that it wanted to portray the provincial government as a failed setup.
Putting under question the role of bureaucracy, he alleged that it was creating hurdles to teachers upgrading despite the provincial government approval. “The bureaucracy is against improvement in the education standards in the province,” ILF leader alleged.
Moazzam Butt warned the bureaucracy to stop meddling in the affairs of the government and improve their performance. He criticized the police as well after accusing the force of supporting the land grabbers in the province. “All these actions are intended to fail the PTI government in the province.
The ILF leader alleged that the February 8 2024 general election was the worst rigged ballot in the country’s history.“The PTI would have formed the government had the Election Commission of Pakistan conducted a free and fair general election,” he added.Moazzam Butt said the PIT founding chairman Imran Khan had been implicated in several cases but added that the PTI legal team was fighting for supremacy of the law.
