The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Monday claimed to have arrested a passenger who arrived in Pakistan with forged travel documents. The suspect Ibrahim had travelled from Saudi Arabia to Pakistan on flight SV700.
He was arrested by the FIA’s immigration cell. According to FIA officials, the suspect’s emergency passport bore a fake renewal stamp, and he was unable to provide any documents related to the stamp.
The passport was checked by the Pakistani mission in Jeddah, which also confirmed the stamp to be fake. The suspect, who hails from Karachi, has been handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Karachi for further legal action.
