Notices to seven LWMC officials over poor performance
LAHORE:Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) issued warning notices to seven officers and staff of the company for poor performance here on Monday.
Chief Executive Officer Babar Sahib Din conducted emergency visits to various low-lying areas and urban and rural union councils to monitor the sanitation arrangements. He emphasised the need for prompt manual sweeping in all commercial markets and urged the completion of roadside scraping activities. During his visits, two town managers, M Abbas and Chaudhry Aslam, along with four zonal officers Ali Tariq, Ali Rizwan, Mustafa, Akbar and Supervisor Shakeel were issued warnings for their poor performance.
The CEO inspected key areas including Davis Road, Garhi Shahu, Allama Iqbal Road, Railway Station area, Circular Road, Lorri Adda, Azadi Chowk, Batti Chowk, and Shahdara. He reiterated that negligence in maintaining Lahore’s cleanliness is unacceptable, directing officers to ensure 100pc attendance of workers.
