AIOU celebrates 50 years of educational excellence
Islamabad:Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) proudly celebrates its 50th year of service, having educated nearly 5 million students across the nation during this period.
As the university continues its mission to provide accessible education, admissions for the Autumn 2024 semester are now open. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Nasir Mahmood emphasised the university’s commitment to ensuring that no child in Pakistan is deprived of their basic right to education.
He highlighted that AIOU offers fee concessions and scholarships to support underprivileged and deserving students. In a significant initiative, the university also provides free matriculation education to children from Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and the merged tribal districts (formerly FATA).
