ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken notice of violation of merit in allocation of stations (countries) for the posting of Community Welfare Attachés in Pakistani embassies abroad.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development had sent a summary to prime minister for approval of appointment of Community Welfare Attachés. The Establishment Division said the ministry did not do allotment of stations according to merit.
The prime minister agreed to the objection of Establishment Division and approved to change the allocation of stations according to merit. The prime minister said allocation of stations should be strictly according to merit. Three things should be considered – a written test, interview and candidate’s choice. The prime minister made it clear exceptions cannot be allowed.
Prime Minister’s Secretary Asad-ur-Rahman Geelani has informed the HRD Ministry of PM’s directions.
Some 19 officers of Grade 18 and 19 of various
service groups have been assigned stations according to merit.
