RAWALPINDI: Judge Malik Ijaz Asif of the Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) rejected an interim bail plea of Bushra Bibi in May-9 cases, being withdrawn. The court ordered for completing the inquiry of May-9 cases within 7 days. The case hearing at Adiala Jail was adjourned till August 22.
Sheikh Rashid, Shibli Faraz, Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Sadaqat Abbasi, Shireen Mazari, Azam Swati and others appeared in the court. The roll of over 500 accused of May-9 incident was signed.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder, Imran Khan, was present in the court. Muhammad Faisal Malik, along with a legal team, appeared in the court on behalf of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder and his wife Bushra Bibi, as well as other accused.
Bushra’s interim bail plea in 12 cases of May-9 incident was also heard. The court remarked when the accused was arrested in so many cases, then investigation was a must. The counsel for Bushra Bibi withdrew the interim bail plea.
