Cleric gets bail in terror case

PESHAWAR: A local court here on Monday accepted the bail plea of known religious scholar Mufti Munir Shakir and directed the police to submit the record of the case against the cleric on August 22.
According to the prosecution, the police hadregistered a case against Mufti Munir Shakir on the complaint of a citizen, Misbahuddin, who alleged that the cleric attacked his house with explosives on July 10, 2014 in the limits of Bhanamari Police Station. The police had registered a case against the accused under the Anti-terrorism Act.
