PARIS: All the athletes who embarked on the Paris Olympics were denied daily allowance by the Ministry for Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) and Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), directing the concerned that they will look into the matter on athletes’ return.
It is very unfortunate that every government official was making lofty claims but when it came to giving dailies to the genuine athletes for their trip to the Olympics, no one was accommodated.
However, the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) came to their rescue and gave 100 euros to each athlete to buy something before returning to their homes. ‘The News’ has learnt that only Arshad Nadeem, his coach and doctor were given tickets by the PSB.
