SSC examination results announced simultaneously: Girl students of BISEP take lead among all 7 educational boards

PESHAWAR: The girl students of Peshawar Board took the lead among all the eight educational boards in the province by sharing all the top positions as the results of the secondary school certificate (SSC) examination were announced simultaneously on Thursday.

A ceremony for the position-holder students was arranged at the Chief Minister’s House where the overall results were declared. Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was the chief guest.The chief minister awarded shields and certificates to all 51 students who secured first, second and third positions in their respective board exams.

The ceremony was attended by Minister for Elementary & Secondary Education Faisal Khan Tarakai, Minister for Livestock & Fisheries Fazal Hakeem, Secretary Education Masaud Ahmad, chairmen of educational boards, other relevant officials, position holder students, their parents and teachers.

Three girl students of the Peshawar board shared the overall top positions among all the boards by obtaining 1176 out of the total 1200 marks.They included Saniya Faisal, daughter of Shah Faisal, Syeda Sawera Jehan, daughter of Syed Shah Jehan and Marwa Alam, daughter of Mir Alam Khan, all students of the Peshawar Model Girls High School-II Dilzak Road Peshawar. Aleeza Ayaz of the same school secured 1175 marks to stand second and Jafar Shah, son of Mudir Khan of Mohmand Cadet College stood third in the exam.

From the Peshawar board, a total of 86789 students appeared in the exam. Some 76090 among them were declared successful with a pass percentage of 87.67.Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said that the promotion of quality education was the top priority of the provincial government. He said that the performance of the government school was proof of the fact that the standard of the public sector schools has improved.

He urged the authorities of the educational boards to focus proper attention on providing due rights and facilities to all students.The chief minister said the country could be put on the path of development by providing appropriate opportunities to talented students.

He said that the KP government was determined to upholding merit as violation of merit was the main cause of underdevelopment at the national level. The chief minister pledged to provide the best opportunities in top institutions to intelligent students for quality education. He said that the provincial government would soon launch an education card for the promotion of education in the province.

The results of other boards were also declared at the same ceremony. From Abbottabad Board, Aden Saad secured the first position by obtaining 1155 marks. Aqasha Tariq secured 1149 marks and stood second while Maha Misbah obtained 1144 marks to clinch third position.

A total of 72,305 students appeared in the grade 10 exams from the board among whom 80.55 students passed the exams. From Dera Ismail Khan Board, Muhammad Usman got the first position with 1163 marks, Sudrat Al-Muntaha got the second position with 1160 marks, and Muhammad Usman got the third position with 1158 marks.

A total of 23022 students appeared in the 10th exam from the board. Some 19649 students passed the exam with a percentage of 85. 35.

From Swat Board, Zarik Mohammad Khan got first position by obtaining 1154 marks, Hafsa Inayat, secured second position by getting 1153 marks, while Muhammad Saqlain got third position by getting 1152 marks.

A total of 46,106 students participated in the grade-10 examination this year from the board in which 38,235 students succeeded with a pass percentage of 82.95 percent.

Bannu Board was topped by Amama Khan. She secured 1155 marks. Ayesha Bibi stood second with 1151 marks and Manahil Fayyaz clinched third position by securing 1137 marks.

Similarly, Kohat Board was topped by Subhan Athar, who obtained 1127 marks. Mohammad Hanan Ali secured 1126 marks to clinch second position and Hifsa Hassan stood third with 1125 marks.

In Malakand Board, Saman Gul obtained 1162 marks to clinch the top position in the board. Ayesha Israr secured 1156 marks and stood second and Ayesh Iqbal secured third position by obtaining 1155 marks.

In Mardan Board, Sameer Zafar stood first by obtaining 1171 marks, followed by Mohammad Yousaf in second position with 1170 marks and Mohammad Ihtisham stood third, who bagged 1169 marks.
