Security guard kills colleague
LAHORE:A security guard was killed by his colleague in the limits of Defence B police station, following an altercation over the use of a fan during the night.
The incident occurred at a private residence where both guards were on duty. According to the police, the victim, identified as Khurram Shahzad, and the accused, Ali, were stationed at the same house for security purpose. The two men reportedly engaged in a heated argument over whether the fan should remain on during the night. The disagreement quickly escalated into a physical confrontation and Ali allegedly stabbed Khurram Shahzad. After committing the crime, Ali fled the scene, leaving Khurram dead on the spot. The victim’s body was transported to the morgue. Police registered a case.
18 die in road accidents in Punjab
Around 18 people died, whereas 1,323 were injured in 1,189 road traffic accidents in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Out of these, 579 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 744 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.
