Rangers soldier shot, injured in Korangi
A Rangers soldier was injured in a firing incident that took place in the Korangi area on Wednesday. Police said the incident occured in the Vita Chowrangi area. The injured paramilitary force employee was identified as Niazuddin. He was reportedly heading towards Vita Chowrangi from Shan Chowrangi when he was shot.
Police investigators said they were trying to acquire CCTV footage. They added that the actual motive behind the incident was yet to be ascertained, however, the preliminary information suggested that the incident may have been a result of resistance against a bid to steal the motorcycle.
The injured man was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar has sought details of the incident from the Korangi SSP and ordered
immediate arrest of the culprits.
