Punjab govt notifies commission to boost agri sector

MULTAN: On the instructions of the Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz, the Punjab Agriculture Department notified the Agriculture Commission to promote profitable and sustainable development in agriculture sector and a notification was issued, officials said on Saturday.
Punjab Agriculture and Livestock Minister Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani has been appointed chairman of the Agriculture Commission. Among the other members of the Agriculture Commission are Punjab Irrigation Minister Muhammad Kazim Pirzada, Punjab Finance Minister Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman, members of the Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Saleem and Osama Khan Laghari. The commission includes the secretaries of the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Irrigation, and Finance.
