Frankfurt consulate attack

The ceremonial importance of a country’s flag is universal. Pakistani officers working in any embassy must feel the pride that they are privileged to serve their country with a proud flag displayed on their office building. Whenever I travel abroad, and I pass by a Pakistani embassy, with my flag displayed, my chest fills with a sense of pride and joy. I feel like part of something bigger than myself and my petty little concerns. A sad event occurred on July 20, when a group of Afghan nationals desecrated the Pakistani flag at the Pakistani consulate in Frankfurt, Germany. All those who took part in this act must be punished by the German government.
