JI struggling for justice-based governance, says Karachi emir
The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has been struggling for a justice-based governance system in the country and will continue its struggle till its goal is achieved.
Karachi JI Emir Munem Zafar expressed these views while addressing a public gathering in connection with Ashura in the Malir area of Karachi. The gathering was titled ‘Paigam-e-Shahadat-e-Hussain Conference’. Addressing the event, Zafar said the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (RA) propagated the message of resistance against tyranny.
Whenever someone violated the spirit of Islam and bulldozed the opinion and will of the masses, each and every society member should struggle against any such figure, he said. The JI leader linked the message of Ashura with the prevailing situation in Pakistan and stated that tyranny in one form or another had been ruling over the country for more than past seven decades.
