Uplift schemes worth over Rs56bn approved
LAHORE:The 6th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) Fiscal Year 2024-25 was held under the chairmanship of Planning and Development (P&D) Board Chairman Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan and approved two development schemes of SHC&ME and environment sectors at an estimated cost of Rs56.560 billion.
The approved schemes are establishment of Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cancer Treatment and Centre at the cost of Rs56 billion, and investigation Of sources of particular matter for informed decision making in Punjab at the cost of Rs560 million.
Planning and Development (P&D) Board Secretary Dr Asif Tufail, Secretary Environment Raja Jahangir Anwar, Secretary Health Ali Jan Khan, Chief Economist Dr Nasir Iqbal Malik, Members P&D Board, Head of relevant departments and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments attended the meeting.
