Governor to pay Google certification fees of IT students
Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori has announced that under the Governor’s Special Initiative, he would personally pay the Google certification fees for the students enrolled on the IT training programme under way at the Governor House.
Tessori said that a meeting in this regard was held with the Google team in Islamabad, where Google’s representatives agreed to certify students who qualify for the test. This certification will provide students access to websites where they can earn millions of dollars through online business, he added.
The governor expressed these views on Sunday while addressing IT students at the IT Marquee established in the lawn of the Governor House. He was accompanied by Attorney General of Pakistan (AGP) Mansoor Usman Awan.
Earlier, AGP Awan had met Governor Tessori at the Governor House. During their meeting they discussed constitutional assistance in government affairs, and efforts of the AGP and his team in pursuing cases among other matters. The governor praised the commendable efforts of the AGP and his team.
Later, Governor Tessori and AGP Awan visited the IT Marquee, and the Bell of Hope installed outside the Governor House. They also inspected the ration bags distributed among destitute families.
Tessori briefed the AGP about the IT courses. Addressing the students at the IT Marquee, Awan praised the initiative, saying that it is indeed a remarkable and commendable effort. He pointed out that developing the IT sector is essential in overcoming economic challenges. Addressing the youth, he said: “You are fortunate to have this golden opportunity. You all must work hard with dedication, and success will be yours.”
